Membership with AASSW is charged at $75 annually and has many benefits. Some benefits that are important to note are:
MONTHLY CONSULTATION
Members of AASSW have access to monthly consultation sessions that promote collaboration amongst professionals across the State of Alaska.
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP TO SSWAA*
Your membership with AASSW includes general membership to the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA). This includes malpractice insurance, access to SSWAA evidence-based practice resources available to their general members, and twice-monthly communication through the e-Bell newsletter.
MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS
Members are invited to attend monthly meetings during which topics relevant to school social workers in Alaska will be discussed. Additionally, members have the opportunity to vote on matters relevant to the Board of AASSW and share a voice in what the organization provides to members.
ACCESS TO CE OPPORTUNITIES
Members have access to twice-annual trainings and workshops that will cover topics specific to Alaska-based school systems. Members will be able to request topics and attend opportunities at a discounted rate if offered by SSWAA.
